Meet Jessica (she/her)
I have a Bachelors Degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and earned my Masters in Social Work from Jane Addams School of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois. I have experience working with children, teens, young adults and families in diverse settings; including community mental health, outpatient clinics, and a group therapy practice. This extensive background has provided me with the necessary tools and skills to effectively support a wide range of clients with varying needs and challenges. I utilize an integrative approach to therapy by employing elements of evidenced-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. This allows for more flexible and individualized treatment, as we collaborate to identify your goals, build on your strengths, improve relationships and find better ways to cope. Above all, I believe a strong therapeutic alliance is essential for change. I use creative ways beyond traditional ‘talk therapy’ to help children/teens express themselves by incorporating play therapy, expressive arts, mindfulness and experiential activities. I often collaborate with educational providers, physicians, psychiatrists and other therapists in order to advocate for your child’s needs and ensure continuity of care.
My Mission
‘My mission is to provide a safe and supportive space where all individuals are welcomed and valued. I embrace and welcome diversity in all its forms. I am committed to promoting inclusion, breaking down stigma, and ensuring that every person feels seen, valued, and respected.”
